5 of your favorite drinks are affecting your skin... here's how!

You put on your hydrating sheet mask and set your timer for 15 minutes while you sip on a glass of red wine. Turns out, the wine is affecting your skin more than the sheet mask!
Here's how your favorite beverages are impacting your skin, and some simple tips to drink for better skin!
#1: Water
It's no shock that water has a huge impact on your skin! If your skin is looking dull, you have dark spots, or bags under your eyes, water is likely the thing missing from your regimen.

#2: Coffee
We've got some bad news for you if you're already on your third cup of joe this morning... it could be giving you premature wrinkles! Coffee is full of antioxidants which is a plus, but it can also raise your stress level, give you acne, or lead to aging skin. Maybe stick to one cup in the morning from now on!
#3: Wine
Wine (or any alcohol, really) dilates our pores. If you ever get "wine flush", you're experiencing this! This can lead to blackheads and whiteheads forming, so be sure to clean your skin well after an evening with a few drinks.
#4: Smoothies
We know that fruits and veggies can do wonders for our skin, but we're not always excited about munching on carrots or broccoli. Smoothies are our secret hack for incorporating skincare superfoods into our diets! Plus, smoothies have natural sugars unlike many "fruit juices" that are filled with artificial colors and sweeteners.

#5: Soda
Soda and skincare simply don't mix! Soda is packed with artificial ingredients, caffeine, sweeteners, and syrups that are making your skin break out and age prematurely. Skip the soda, and go for a glass of water or seltzer instead!
