We're spilling the tea: Did you believe these 5 skincare myths were true?
Let's spill the tea - these 5 skincare myths have been messing with our heads for years, and we're so over it!
Myth #1: If you have oily skin, you don't need to moisturize.
Consider this myth busted! The opposite can actually be true. Sometimes, skin can get oily as a result of being dry or irritated. So, instead of skipping the moisturizer, lather up!

Myth #2: Toothpaste can get rid of pesky pimples.
4 out of 5 dentists might recommend it, but 5 out of 5 dermatologists will say "NOPE!" This age-old rumor likely comes from the few ingredients that toothpaste and some acne products happen to share. Although this is true, toothpaste has many other drying and irritating ingredients that your skin should go without. Opt for some acne cream or gentle washing instead!
Myth #3: Shaving makes your hair grow back thicker/darker/faster.
While it might feel prickly because of the way the hair is cut, shaving doesn't actually impact your hair follicles at all. But, if you feel like an option besides shaving might be better and want to thin your hair growth, try our IPL Hair Remover!
Myth #4: You get what you pay for.
Don't get us wrong - we totally support paying for quality! But don't assume that just because a skincare product, device, or service is pricey that it will be great. Some of our favorite skincare products come from the drugstore! Focus on what works for YOU - not on what the influencers are pushing.

Myth #5: You only need SPF on sunny days / when you're on the beach / if you have fair skin / etc.
You didn't think we would forget to mention SPF, did you? The world is full of myths and excuses as to why you don't need SPF, but the truth is, we ALL need to be wearing SPF every. damn. day. Your skin will thank you in a few years!
